Joe Johnson Has Ideas for ‘Jurassic Park 4′

Speaking to AICN about his forthcoming film The Wolfman, director Joe Johnson also talked about his other pending projects, including the long-rumored fourth installment of 'Jurassic Park'.

"Well, there is a great story for the fourth one that I would be interested in getting involved with and it's nothing like the first three," Johnson told the site. "It sort of takes the franchise off in a completely different direction, which is the only way I would want to get involved."

Johnson added that if he comes on board, he would want to make an entire new 'Jurassic Park' trilogy. And the films would not revolve around people heading back to the island.

"Why would anybody go back to that island? It was hard enough to figure out the second and third reason for them to go. But it would take it off in a whole other trilogy basically…" he said. "I think we are at that point where we are due for another one if we are going to do it. I don't know, but we will see."

Johnson added that ultimately "…it’s sort of about studios and Steven’s thing and who knows."

Are you ready for more 'Jurassic Park' (or as we like to call it around here, Yerasshashadit Park)?
