Turns Out Warner Bros. Has Plans for Superman After All

Not that we ever doubted that a deal would be struck

All the news coming out of the Superman camp the past few months seem to have concerned one of two things: 1) the legal issues involving the heirs of the character's creators, Jerry Siegel and Joe Schuster; 2) and whether Warner Bros had any sense of the sort of direction in which they hoped to go with another film, assuming they could get another film off the ground (the official studio word was no Superman feature was forthcoming—legalize for "even if we had plans, we wouldn't tell you").

Today we learn from Thompson on Hollywood that the studio is indeed evaluating pitches for a new film, and that it plans to settle with the Siegel and Schuster families and work out a deal with them to merge all the Superman rights.
