TV Science Fiction Taking a Hit in Thursday Night Time Slot
'Fringe', 'Supernatural', 'Flashforward' see more ratings losses

Thursday nights may be big for science fiction on television, but viewers don't seem to be sharing the love. FOX's Fringe took a ratings nosedive; at a 23 percent loss—falling to an all time low. Fringe ratings fell 23 percent, to 5 million viewers, according to The Hollywood Reporter's Live Feed blog.

Given the World Series' previous multi-week control of that time slot, it's conceivable that viewers just weren't aware that the JJ Abrams' show was back with a new episode, however, Fringe wasn't the only series to suffer Thursday...

Supernatural's audience also fell 14 percent, ironic, given that the episode, "Changing Channels", was far and away the best of the season thus far.

Meanwhile, ABC's FlashForward — which I'm personally enjoying, despite the slow burn — suffered, too, down 4 percent overall...but perhaps not of great concern given that the network's entire lineup was down by the same percentage.

So tell us: are you still watching Fringe, Supernatural and FlashForward...?
