McConaughey as Captain America?
Is the actor warming to the idea?

Ever since First Avenger: Captain America was announced, casting rumors have been floating about the Interweb like motes in a sawmill. But more importantly, there's always been a favorite for the lead—someone whose name keeps getting whispered every time the subject arises. And that someone is Matthew McConaughey.Oh sure, potential candidate rumors have included Will Smith, Channing Tatum and even Mike O'Hearn (American Gladiators).
McConaughey, however, most seems to embody the part, in the minds of many. Unfortunately, however, the last time he was asked about whether he might be interested in playing the superhero, his reaction was that he'd never even heard of the character.
Oops.
Things might be changing, however. During a press conference for Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, the 39 year-old actor was once again asked about whether he would be interested in starring in the Captain America film. And this time, his response was a bit more positive. "It sounds fun," he told MTV, adding that he has yet to see a script.
