Steve Martin Signs on for Nancy Meyers Romantic-Comedy 
Joining Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin

Steve MartinSteve Martin is joining Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin in a Universal Pictures' untitled romantic comedy that Nancy Meyers wrote and is set to direct in February.

Martin and Baldwin will play rivals for the affection of a woman (Streep).

Meyers is producing with Scott Rudin. She set up the project at U after making her two previous films at Columbia, Something's Gotta Give and The Holiday.

Martin is re-teaming with Meyers, who co-wrote and produced both of the Father of the Bride films in which Martin starred for Disney.

Martin next reprises his role as Inspector Clouseau in Pink Panther 2, which Sony releases on Feb. 6.
