ITV Cancels 'Primeval'
No word on effect upon movie version, however

BBC News has confirmed a previous rumor that ITV has canceled its dinosaur-themed sci-fi series Primeval after three successful seasons.

Starring Ben Miller, Douglas Henshall and Hannah Spearritt, the show followed a group of scientists studying prehistoric creatures.

"High quality drama remains a key part of the ITV schedule, although our current focus is on post-watershed production," ITV said in a statement.

The show had an average audiences of about 5 million this year in the United Kingdom. The figure was down from around 6 million for the first two series. Thus, budget cuts are the likely rationale for the decision.

It's not yet clear how this will affect plans for a 'Primeval' movie.

We all love Primeval and it is not fair to have 3 season because we want more than three. We haven't see like happy ending. We all really want Primeval comes next year and We want to beg you to have Primeval back. We don't like Primeval 'cancelled'. We did upset what we heard. We hate it!!
