'Caprica', 'Stargate Universe' Find Homes in Canada 

Canadian specialty channels announce fall plans

Last week, Canadian broadcasters announced fall programming plans. This week, specialty channels owned and operated by CTV Inc. revealed fall pick ups.Space adds Stargate Universe, the latest series in the Stargate franchise, and Caprica, the prequel to Battlestar Galatica. Both series look to build on the success of the earlier series. Sanctuary, the Vancouver-produced series starring Amanda Tapping (Stargate SG-1) and which has been airing in the U.S. for a season, is also new to Space.
MTV2 will be home to new animated series DJ and the Fro and FashionTelevision will be airing The Beautiful Life, the new drama starring Mischa Barton (The O.C.) and produced by Ashton Kutcher.
The Comedy Network will be airing Lucky Louie, the new sitcom starring Louis C.K., Michael and Michael Have Issues, starring Michael Ian Black and Michael Showalter, and My Name is Earl in syndication.
