Michael Trucco in 'Battlestar Galactica'.Actor Michael Trucco has signed up to play a rebel alien in the ABC series V, according to TV Guide. It won't be the first time Trucco has had a major role in a sci-fi show; he previously played a Cylon on Syfy's Battlestar Galactica.

In V Trucco will play John May, the leader and founder of an underground faction of the aliens that are invading Earth. Trucco is so far scheduled to appear in only one episode of the series when it returns in April.

V is a reboot of an 1983 mini-series about reptilian aliens who take over Earth disguised as humans. The mini-series led to a three-part sequel and a short-lived television series that aired between 1984 and 1985.

Michael Trucco played the role of Cylon Samuel Anders in Battlestar Galactica. His other credits include One Tree Hill, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, The Big Bang Theory and Beverly Hills, 90210.
