New 'Iron Man 2' Set Described as Massive
Plus, Paltrow and Johansson not getting along?

ComingSoon is reporting that a massive construction project at the foot of the Sepulveda Dam in L.A. has been arousing curiosity among motorists driving on the 101 Ventura Freeway in the San Fernando Valley for the past week. A "Rasputin" sign hangs at the entrance to the dam. The project, it turns out, is a set for Iron Man 2. We have a pretty good idea what they are building, but we won't spoil it here.

Meanwhile, the UK tabloid The Sun (always a reliable source of information, we realize) is reporting that Gwyneth Paltrow and Scarlett Johansson are allegedly at war on the set of Iron Man 2. According to an unnamed source: "Gwyneth has become very frustrated with Scarlett. They come from different worlds and have completely different styles ... Gwyneth has found Scarlett very demanding of the attention of the crew. It’s not a happy set."
Paltrow was apparently looking forward to Emily Blunt being her co-star, and was disappointed to find Scarlett got the role instead.
"Gwyneth's had to live with that and she has been very professional, but she and Scarlett haven't developed a friendship on the shoot, which is almost at the half way point. In fact, it's quite the opposite."Paltrow is apparently so stressed, she's taken a two-week break. Since we can't find any remarks from Jon Favreau (via his Twitter updates or elsewhere), that either substantiate or repudiate these reports, we suggest they be taken with a big grain of salt.
The Jon Favreau directed sequel, stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Jon Favreau, Mickey Rourke, Sam Rockwell, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Garry Shandling, John Slattery, Kate Mara and Clark Gregg.
Iron Man 2 arrives in theaters May 7, 2010.
