If you're getting excited about the new Daybreakers vampire flick — and we can think of one writer on staff who probably is — then you'll want to feast (sorry) your eyes on the two below street posters going up in Los Angeles for the Lionsgate film. Both are courtesy of ShockTillYouDrop.com.

Ethan Hawke plays Edward Dalton, a researcher in the year 2019, in which an unknown plague has transformed the world's population into vampires. As the human population nears extinction, vampires must capture and farm every remaining human, or find a blood substitute before time runs out. However, a covert group of vampires makes a remarkable discovery, one which has the power to save the human race.

Directed by the Spierig brothers, Daybreakers also stars Willem Dafoe, Claudia Karvan, Michael Dorman, Vince Colosimo, Isabel Lucas and Sam Neill.

It's a great cast, and an interesting premise that puts a new spin on the human/vampire symbiotic relationship, so we're looking forward to seeing if the filmmakers have pulled off something that will stand amongst the pantheon of great vampire flicks, and not just be another tepid knockoff of everything we've seen before.

Daybreakers opens in theaters on January 8, 2010.
