A couple of years back, David Goyer stated that he would write and direct the sequel to the 1933 film The Invisible Man, originally based upon a story by H.G. Wells. Meanwhile, Goyer now tells ShockTillYouDrop that things are definitely moving forward.

"I've since finished a draft and I'm in the midst of revisions for it right now,"
he revealed to the site. "Universal seems pretty high on it. So, they're just breathing down my neck to get the revisions done. It's a movie they'd like to make."

The new story centers on a British nephew of the original "Invisible Man". Once he discovers his uncle's formula for achieving invisibility, he is recruited by British intelligence agency MI5 during WWII.

Meanwhile Universal has begun raiding the vaults for most of its classic "monster" fare. The studio is releasing The Wolfman on November 6 with the fate of its other siblings depending upon Wolfman's success. Assuming that, next in line are The Invisible Man, the recently-announced Bride of Frankenstein and Creature from the Black Lagoon.
