Jonah HillJonah Hill has, in past months, been rumored to write, produce and possibly star in a big screen adaptation of the '80's television series 21 Jump Street. Now, Hill has revealed details for his film remake. First off, he has acknowledged that he would like to do the project as an R-rated action comedy.

"[Sony execs said] they were gonna let me make my kind of movie — an R-rated, insane, Bad Boys meets John Hughes type movie — and I told them the second they don't, I'm not gonna be involved anymore," he told Complex.

Hill added that even though the original 21 Jump Street show had a silly side and he is known as a funny man, he doesn't plan to make the new movie strictly comedic. "We're doing a full-on action movie, blowing sh*t up," he said.

The original television program starred Johnny Depp and focused on youthful-looking police officers who worked undercover in high schools. The series ran for five seasons on the Fox network.
