Hollywood to Answer the 'Call of Duty'
Activision Blizzard video game to become feature film

Last May it was revealed that video game publisher Activision Blizzard was working on turning their 'World of Warcraft' and 'Call of Duty' video game properties into feature films. In the meantime, Warcraft has already moved into pre-production with Sam Raimi aboard to direct, but Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick has declined to comment on a Call of Duty film.

Now, according to Trademork, the company has filed to protect the trademark 'Call of Duty' in relation to "pre-recorded movies featuring comedy, drama, action, adventure, music, theatrical performances and/or animation."

The logical assumption here, of course, being that the company is at least taking further steps to secure a 'Call of Duty' film by securing all possible venues of entertainment pertaining to said name.

Stay tuned as we await more developments on this front...
