Harvey Two-Face Returning for Third Batman Film?
Star Aaron Eckhart hints at possibility
By Robert Falconer | Monday, January 12, 2009
If you thought that Harvey Dent, aka Two Face (Aaron Eckhart) was well and truly dead at the end of The Dark Knight, remember that it wasn't actually confirmed in the film (damned clever of Chris Nolan to leave it ambiguous). Ergo, it follows that the character could possibly return for another installment, something Eckhart has flatly denied before. However, during last night's Golden Globes red carpet blitz the actor was less definite, more circumspect.During an interview with MTV, the actor said, "I think Harvey — if he’s not dead — is in a serious coma," stated Eckhart, "and I’m not sure he’s coming out. They might pull the plug on him."
Christopher Nolan and David Goyer are currently brainstorming ideas for a third Batman film, so we're going to see a flurry of rumors surface over the coming months. Should this be taken as anything more than wishful thinking — or perhaps intentional disinformation — on Eckhart's part, or has the actor become privy to Nolan and Goyer's latest story musings. You decide.
Meanwhile, check out the clip below to see exactly what Eckhart had to say.
