'Castlevania' Movie Has a New Director
James Wan wants in on videogame adaptation

Like Dracula rising from the grave, it appears that the Castlevania movie we've all been waiting for won't stay dead either.

According to Bloody-Disgusting, Saw helmer James Wan will be co-writing and directing an adaptation of the video game franchise for Paul W.S. Anderson, who's no stranger to video games-turned-movies himself. If you'll recall, Anderson directed Mortal Kombat and the first Resident Evil movie, but has since turned his attention to action films like last year's Death Race remake.

In an interview, Wan said Castlevania is still in the early stages, but that he's looking to give it a new spin, and that publisher Konami is very excited about it.

"The thing I love about what Konami did with 'Castlevania', was taking the iconic Dracula mythology and Eastern-European setting, and retelling it with a Japanese pop-cultural sensibility," said Wan. "That's the East-meets-West tone I want to visually expand on for the film. I'm thrilled by the opportunity to make a highly stylized, fantasy, action film that focuses on the gothic storyline and the cool, anime-like characters."

The hero of the original 'Castlevania' game was Simon Belmont, a whip-wielding vampire hunter, but other protagonists in the franchise have included Alucard, the son of Dracula.

Castlevania And Other VG Movies

CASTLEVANIA AND OTHER VIDEO GAME MOVIES.

Now that Sam Raimi is directing World Of Warcraft movie so now this James Wan is going to direct Castlevania there is good new and that Paul WS Anderson is returning to direct fourth Resident Evil film.
I'm not really into Onimusha series but I do read some news about but Christophe Gans was set to direct and John Collee was set to write the script but Samuel hadida and Gans should hire Kazunori Ito and Keiji Inafune should be replace by John Collee to re write the script to follow the story from Onimusha Warlords storyline.
Other VG movies are coming are Tekken and King Of Fighters but they both are not going to do its justice and will not be any successful.
Thank You.
