Another 'Conan the Barbarian' Photo Surfaces
Swinging into action
By Robert Falconer | Tuesday, July 6, 2010
Lionsgate has released a brand new photo from the forthcoming Conan the Barbarian remake, showcasing Jason Momoa in the title role. This is clearly a heavily 'shopped publicity image; maybe a tad overdone for our tastes.
Still, there's no denying that Momoa seems to be filling the sandals of the title character pretty well, at least physically and visually.
The tale of Conan the Cimmerian and his adventures across the continent of Hyboria on a quest to avenge the murder of his father and the slaughter of his village.
The new movie is directed by Marcus Nispel (Friday the 13th) and co-stars Ron Perlman (Sons of Anarchy) as Conan's father, Stephen Lang (Avatar) as Khalar Singh, Rose McGowan (Grindhouse) as Marique, Rachel Nichols (GI Joe) as Tamara, and Bob Sapp as Ukafa.

Okay Jason, just hold the sword higher... towards those storm clouds, that's it...

Wow. What an unfortunate picture to choose. Awkwardly posed, goofy expression, frizzy girly hair, and where the Hell does his right leg end? Perhaps they merely Photoshopped out the bolt of lightning that struck his sword just as the picture was taken. That would explain a lot.
