VANCOUVER, BC (CinemaSpy) -- After a long, bitter winter fraught by a strong Loonie (Canadian dollar for the rest of you) and a contentious Hollywood writers' strike, things appear to be returning to normal here in Hollywood North. We have word of several new projects scheduled to lens in Vancouver in the month of March:

First up, CBS will shoot a new pilot here in town this month, entitled Eleventh Hour. The story centers on Jacob Hood (played by UK actor Rufus Sewell), a special science adviser to the government who, with his feisty female bodyguard in tow, saves people from the worst abuses of science.

Also this month, the American network, MyNetworkTV, will begin shooting Under One Roof in Vancouver. The new series revolves around an ex-con (played by Flavor Flav) who moves in with his wealthy, conservative brother, turning one family's life upside down.

On the feature front, Kirk Shaw’s Insight Film Studios is set to co-produce Victim 34, a suspense thriller about a world-weary homicide detective on the hunt to find an elusive serial killer who, unbeknownst to the detective, has been kidnapped in a get-rich-quick scheme. Casting has not yet been announced.

Finally, you have to hand it to Uwe Boll. Despite flop after flop, he keeps making films. His latest feature is entitled Jail, which the sometimes pugilist is currently in town prepping. Thus far, the production is playing their cards close to the vest on this project; no information about the story can be gleaned from any source. And while that’s never a good sign, let’s hope this film is better than A Dungeon Siege Tale, because after all, everyone’s luck runs out eventually and we’re not sure Uwe will be able to box his way clear of any more duds.

Stay tuned as we attempt to dig up more on the story behind Jail, literally and plot-wise.
